Commercial Description:
Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat Beer, available since 2000 both in bottles and on draught, is a lively, refreshing ale with a citrusy flavor and distinctive cloudy appearance. Our Unfiltered Wheat is reminiscent of the wheat beers that were brewed at the turn of the century, before the advent of modern filtration.

A cloudy yellow beer with a slight aroma of wheat. Doesn’t really say drink me upon first look. By the time it got to the table their was no head. Not much taste, but not the worse beer I’ve drank. If someone offered me one I’d probaly ask for something else.

Pours a cloudy straw with foamy white head. Strong wheat/bread aroma with some citrus. Similar taste, with mild carbonation. Very average.

Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is slightly musty, some yeast and bread. Flavor is decent but unispiring. A simple wheat with some lemon citrus. Easy to drink, not bad.

Pours a hazy yellow into the glass with a white head. Aroma is somewhat citrusy but lacks the banana and clove of its German brethren. Slightly acidic with a tart finish. Very quaffable, but not very interesting

(bottle from Weber St Liquor in Colorado Springs). Pours a cloudy yellow color. Small white head. Strong wheat aroma and flavor. Short duration. Slightly astringent finish. Thin texture. Spare lacing. Soft carbonation.

12 oz. "mini-frig" stash bottle poured to a festival sampler glass. The color was light gold/straw and hazy. The head was white and foamy, with some light clingy ribbons of lacing. The aroma was malt, some grain/wheat, a good deal of lemon zest and sweetness of light fruit. The flavor fell off quite a bit from the intensity of the aroma notes. The body was light and the carbonation was fizzy. A refreshing hydrator, with or without the lawn mower.

Growing up in Iowa, this is for many the obligatory introduction to "good beer" Certainly one of the first beers I ever liked. Pours a very hazy yellow color with a small but fluffy white head. Aroma is a little grainy, doughy, and has mild lemony citrus notes. Flavor is much of the same, a little grainy, some nice citrusy and yeasty characteristics. with just the slightest hint of spiciness. It’s really not a very interesting beer, but it’s well put together so I’ll certainly hand it that. Enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a one finger rocky head. Aroma is wheat, citrus. Flavor is strong with up front, then contains some nice citrus in the duration.
