Commercial Description:
Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat Beer, available since 2000 both in bottles and on draught, is a lively, refreshing ale with a citrusy flavor and distinctive cloudy appearance. Our Unfiltered Wheat is reminiscent of the wheat beers that were brewed at the turn of the century, before the advent of modern filtration.

Pours cloudy yellow with a thin head. Aroma is lemony citrus, wheat malt. Flavour is tart lemon again with a yeasty grainy body that is not unpleasant.

Very pale, cloudy, with a foamy, bubbly head. Smells of lemony citrus and banana with a noticeable absence of spice. Hop aroma is absent. Some grainy wheatiness comes across but not much. Has a dominant citrusy flavor that is slightly suggestive of lemon. Nothing much else comes across. Lackluster, humdrum; drinkable but not quaffable. Sweet, sticky, and tart; not very refreshing, actually.

Pours a cloudy yellow to golden color. Aroma of grains with a hint of citrus. Flavor is slightly sweet, wheat with a bit of lemon. Good summertime beer.

Hot a bad beer. Poured with a white head and no lace. Head almost completely disappeard quickly. Hazy yellow color. Mild wheat beer aroma. Flavor is citrusy as described. Sweet/tart, clean. Pleasant finish. Edgy carbonation. Good summertime beer. Could be a session beer.

Cloudy yellow pour with light white head. Typical bread flavors with an orange after taste (Orange added). Sort of tasteless as are all wheat beers that i have had...but still not bad.

The aroma is almost non-existent and certainly does not smell like a wheat beer. It has some malt and maybe a touch of wheat and citrus but it’s hard to detect. The appearance is hazy pale gold with a thin head. The flavor is weak and watery but it tastes good with wheat but no other complexities. The palate is smooth from carbonation but thin. The finish is clean and slightly bitter. Overall it’s a pretty OK tasting beer with NO character at all other than water.

I haven’t had many wheat beers, but so far this one is my favorite. One of the first beers I ever had. Will always have a special place in my liver.
