Commercial Description:
Boulevard's summer seasonal was introduced in June of 2000. Our interpretation of a classic Belgian witbier, ZÔN (Flemish for "Sun") combines the subtle flavors of coriander and orange peel with other traditional ingredients to create a delightful, refreshing summertime brew.

A cloudy yellow apperance with a moderate white head. The aroma is full of citrus and coriander. Some lemons, spices, and bready notes present. The flavor is a bit tame on this with some orange peels, spices, and lemons. The aftertaste is slightly spicey. Overall not a bad wit but nothing amazing either. Good summer beer!

pours a hazy straw colour with a thin bubbly white head. Aroma is strong corriander spice, yeast and citrus zest and banana. Flavour is again corriander and lemon-orange citrus. Light clean finish.

Pours cloudy straw-tan with a small quickly dissipating white head. Aroma lemon zest coriander, sourdough, hay, but it’s only slightly funky, like a cleaned up Belgian wit. Actually, the aroma has a lot in common with a couple New Belgium beers. Tastes lemony at first, followed by grain, coriander and grassy flavors and the yeast pungency is just too light. Finishes really really easy and clean, just a wee bit of grain flavor lingering. Very light bodied, but this feels slightly fluffy, perhaps from the wheat. Carbonation is high, but creaminess isn’t really there. This is okay, but witbiers, even other US versions can be a lot more exciting than this.

Poured a hazy yellow with a one finger head. Aroma of the regular spices and bananas. Flavor tastes like the aroma. Good beer.

Pours a very light yellow with a decent sized head. Aroma of clove, spices, and banana. Nice flavor, solid. A bit too thin. More like a hefe, but that’s alright with me.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy yellow golden color with a large white frothy head that diminishes rather quickly. The aroma is a strong clove and citrus. The taste is a sweet banana and lemon with a dry finish. Not as dry as most wit but still a good witbier from Boulevard.

Cloudy golden yellow with a quickly dissipating white fizzy head that goes completely away. Nice wheaty nose with a tinge of coriander. Taste is a wheat smoothness with a bite of orange rind in the finish. Nice wit.
