Commercial Description:
Boulevard's summer seasonal was introduced in June of 2000. Our interpretation of a classic Belgian witbier, ZÔN (Flemish for "Sun") combines the subtle flavors of coriander and orange peel with other traditional ingredients to create a delightful, refreshing summertime brew.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy yellow golden color with a large white frothy head that diminishes rather quickly. The aroma is a strong clove and citrus. The taste is a sweet banana and lemon with a dry finish. Not as dry as most wit but still a good witbier from Boulevard.

Cloudy golden yellow with a quickly dissipating white fizzy head that goes completely away. Nice wheaty nose with a tinge of coriander. Taste is a wheat smoothness with a bite of orange rind in the finish. Nice wit.

On tap at OBF 2008--Hazy straw golden body with a small bubbly white head. Phenolic (clove-banana) nose). Crisp bubbly gum layers throughout this deliciously smooth and sessionable brew.

Bottle: Hazy yellow colored pour with small white head. Yeasty, spicy, fruity aroma with a sweet, crisp, slightly spicy finish. This was pretty good.

I’ve been on a wit kick lately, and this beer defnitely fills the bill. It is a prototypical wit, with aromas and flavors that are just what they’re supposed to be. Citrus, coriander, fairly yeasty, the only hitch is a hint of sourness that throws things off just a bit. Pours a cloudy yellow with a thin, quickly dissipating head, and has a very light mouthfeel with a lot of carbonation. A good, crisp, and very refreshing summer beer.

Unfiltered yellow with a thin quickly fading head. Standard witbier aroma – orange peel, coriander and yeast. Taste follows the aromas lead with some light lemon and banana in there. A little bland and sour overall but finishes crisply.

I was hoping for something refreshing and this came through nicely. the spice is understated, but nicely pleasant. some tastes of citrus with a bit of wheat sweetness and heavy carbonation.
