Commercial Description:
Boulevard's summer seasonal was introduced in June of 2000. Our interpretation of a classic Belgian witbier, ZÔN (Flemish for "Sun") combines the subtle flavors of coriander and orange peel with other traditional ingredients to create a delightful, refreshing summertime brew.

Very good beer. Definitely has some orange and honey in it. Tastes great and goes down very smooth. No bitter aftertaste and has good head and we all appreciate good head.

12 oz. bottle from John’s Grocery (Iowa City, IA). Pours a light hazy yellow with a bright white head that begins to dissipate quickly. Aromas are light, with a touch of orange and coriander typical of most wits. Initial taste is a light, holding touches of orange zest and coriander. A crisp quenching brew that was a little heavier (albeit, still light bodied overall) than I anticipated. I think the finish, which shines through a little more full with the flavors and aftertaste for a wit, are this brew’s vindicating characteristics, elevating it over macro versions of it. Overall, a weak beginning and a strong finish, but always a nice summertime brew. Will probably try again.. Rerate definately.

Cloudy dark yellow, thin white head. Faint coriander and orange, maybe a touch of banana, as well, in the aroma. Flavor is smooth and crisp, with more character than the aroma - It’s pretty much the same components, just more pronounced. A little bit of a woodsy note in the finish.

Cloudy lemonade color, with a citrus-peach aroma. The head didn’t last but the lacing was pretty good as I drank it. Light bodied and on the sweet side with orange and banana flavors. The finish was short and sweet.

Pours hazy light golden with a foamy off-white head. Aroma of banana, citrus, orange peel, and coriander. Tastes of banana, orange peel, vanilla and wheat. Medium bodied with a thick yeastiness and foamy carbonation. Very tasty wit.
