Commercial Description:
Boulevard's summer seasonal was introduced in June of 2000. Our interpretation of a classic Belgian witbier, ZÔN (Flemish for "Sun") combines the subtle flavors of coriander and orange peel with other traditional ingredients to create a delightful, refreshing summertime brew.

Bottle from Duane. Bready wheat and lemon zest aroma. Just a hint of spice in the aroma as well. Flavor had all that plus some banana and subtle coriander. They did a very good job with the use of the coriander in this one. Thanks, Dad!

Hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish white head and a few bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of lemon, wheat, yeast and coriander seed. Light to Medium-bodied; Pleasant wheatie taste with yeast and the curacao very noticeable. Aftertaste is pleasant and calming - a good one to drink in summer as there are no harsh aftertastes. Overall, a good white, not among the best but among the better than averages. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Sam’s Liquor in Oklahoma City, OK on 29-September-2007.

12oz bottle, courtesy of Gregis. Thanks, Greg! Pours a hazy, whitish-yellow color; thin white head with patchy lacing. Bananas and yellow fruit in the aroma; slightest clove and coriander. Medium mouthfeel: lively carbonation and citrus upfront; chewy bananas and doughy notes; while there’s nothing really distinct about this witbier, it’s essentially flawless and very refreshing; satisfying malt core without becoming syrupy. Cloves appear more fully in the finish, which ends slightly dry.

Bottle, pours a cloudy yellow body with orange tinge and white head. Aroma is citrus, mainly orange with slight spiciness. Smooth, medium body mouthfeel with orange, yeast, and bubble gum flavors. Light effervescence. Finishes with a slight tangy lemon aftertaste.

12oz bottle. Pours hazy light yellow with a medium white head. Nose of yeast, wheat with a slight spiciness. Body is medium. Taste is tangy with moderate wheat and yeast. Not particularly spicy but a nice summer beer. Has this beer been dumbed down?? It’s not rich and full as I remember from several years ago. Still a nice summer refresher and one of Boulevard better beers.
