Commercial Description:
Boulevard's summer seasonal was introduced in June of 2000. Our interpretation of a classic Belgian witbier, ZÔN (Flemish for "Sun") combines the subtle flavors of coriander and orange peel with other traditional ingredients to create a delightful, refreshing summertime brew.

bottled.. Poured a hazy offwhite/yellow color with a medium head. Aroma was very fruity and belgian yeast with a touch of lemon. Flavor was lemony with a faint bit of belgian yeast. Light mouthfeel with good carbonation. Very refreshing summertime brew.

Bottle: Definitly a hazy almost dirty looking pale yellow/gold color. The head appears almost flat if that makes any sense-standard hieght (1/8"-1/4")throught entire pour. Has a citrus and yeast scent to it. The taste reminds me a lot of boulevards unfiltered wheat, but with a little bit more bitter to it and sharper/crisper taste (although mine might be a touch too cold). Overall a very enjoyable beer.

Bottle Pours a hazy murky white/yelow with a very small short lived fizzy head. No lacing at all. Clasic mild belgian yeat spice aromas. Flavors are mild light grain, slightly dry. The Belgian twang is subdued and the carbonation is pretty soft. Slightly biter trailer. Thin but clean and refreshing feel.

Light orange yellow hazy beer. Eminently yeasty in aroma and flavors. Very smooth. Decent wit.

Cloudy golden color, sweet citrus aroma. Tasts a little like honey. Didn’t have as much citrus flavor as there is in the aroma. Odd mouthfeel, thicker than I’d expect from a Wit. Interesting, but I’ve had better.

A very good outing from this brewer. I enjoyed this version of a witbier, however, doesn’t compare to better selections, such as Millstream...

This is my second white of the night (this was proceeded by a Point White on tap while watching the Badger game). Not a bad white, but not as full of flavor as the one I had earlier in the evening. Still, not bad.

Pours cloudy yellow with a smallish white head. Nose is spice, orange. Sweet and apricot tastes. Finishes clean, crisp. Good beer.
