(thanks again to my bro/sis-in-law) This one pours blond, cloudy, small white head. Aroma and taste is what I’ve come to expect from a Wit. This is a pretty good example of one, better than a RIckards white, though not as good as a Blanche de Chambly. fivehoursfree (11), Texas, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 31, 2009 (bottle) Pours a clear, yellow color - fair lacing. Wheat aroma with hints of citrus (lemon & orange). Thin texture, fizzy carbonation, average duration. Slightly astringent finish. A delicious summer beer. kuphish (161), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 30, 2009 Updated: Aug 13, 20092008 Bottle. Pours a straw yellow body, with a medium sized, pitted, fizzy, white head. Diminishing. Clear body becomes nearly opaque once the yeast is poured in. Aroma is of lemony citrus, doughy yeast, bready wheat and some grainy pale malt. Fairly muddy. Flavor is likewise muddy. Sweet, bready malt mixed with Belgian yeast spice (mainly clove, but it’s faint) and some orange peel. Can’t really pick out any coriander. Somewhat minerally, probably from the carbonation. Light body with lively carbonation. Overall a refreshing summertime beer, but it seemed pretty confused and middle of the road. Maybe a newer bottle would show a bit more complexity.
2009 bottle. Pours a murky body, ultra pale yellow. Large, white, soapy head. Doughy, dusty yeast aroma with light miscellaneous spicy and sweet malt. Muddy flavor - muddled spiciness and light citrus. Light, thin, bubbly body with a slightly metallic aftertaste. I was hoping the newer bottle would clear up some of the muddiness I tasted in the 2008 bottle. Sadly, this was not the case. A muddy, confusing brew in search of an identity. Reasonably refreshing, but overall lackluster. For me, this is Boulevard’s weakest effort. 3+6+5+2+12 = 2.8 kyzr (1123), Belgrade, Montana, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 25, 2009 Draught: This one pours a hazy, cloudy golden color. There was a small white head on mine. The aroma is nice. There are notes of banana, wheat, yeast, breadiness, some spices. The taste is along the same lines. This one has a slightly creamy body. Overall, this is a pretty decent Wit. It was especially nice to find a decent beer at a Royals game. jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA
