With a similar malt profile to its more famous cousin Scotch whisky, this smooth, strong beer is complex with a lingering hop finish.

On tap at Tap House in Seattle. Dark auburn in color. Aroma of fruit, caramel and flowers. Flavor was pretty sweet; with fruit, sweet malt, sugar, some alchol. Almost a bit hot tasting; not much roasted presence. An overall good bitter.

On tap at the Iron Rabbit in Olympia, WA. Pours a dark broze color with a medium beige head. Nice almost-smoky malt aroma with floral undertones. Malty taste upfront with caramel, but a nice balance of hops keeps it from being too sweet. Not as "heavy" as some of the Scotch ales I’ve had, and probably the best. Good brew! I’d like to pair this brew with Kansas City style ribs, cole slaw, and roasted potatoes.
