| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 31, 2008 On tap at the Iron Rabbit in Olympia, WA. Pours a dark broze color with a medium beige head. Nice almost-smoky malt aroma with floral undertones. Malty taste upfront with caramel, but a nice balance of hops keeps it from being too sweet. Not as "heavy" as some of the Scotch ales I’ve had, and probably the best. Good brew! I’d like to pair this brew with Kansas City style ribs, cole slaw, and roasted potatoes.
