| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 1, 2009 Bottle at Belgian Beer Cafe in Sydney. Gorgeous subtle lambic sourness amid cherry chocolate trappiste style flavourings. Really really great for first few sips but as the precious seconds slip away so does the flavour. Carbonation disappears quickly and texture and flavour becomes a bit more like cherry cordial. Drink it fast! bierkoning (6033), La Tropica, Netherlands
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 20, 2009 Bottle. Dark brown color. Caramel and cherry in the aroma. Slightly soured flavor, malty with toffee, cherry sweets and dust. Sweet and sour coincide well. Pleasant Flemish brown, I guess it was intended that way. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 22, 2009 On tap at Kulminator. This dark brown ale poured with a fluffy beige head that dissipated quickly and a toffee aroma. The flavor is rather sweet with some anise and chocolate. It’s a bit too thin. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 21, 2009 Bottle. The aroma is nice malty, light sweet, some sugar. The head is small, white and fizzy-foamy with a short duration. The body is nearly black. The taste is very malty and reminds me a little bit of chocolate. The texture is silky with a soft carbonation and a medium strong body. A very nice beer.
