Ungstrup (11075), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 14, 2003 A deep red beer with no head. The aroma is slightly sweet and sharp. The flavor is very round, very sweet, and slighlty acidic with notes of berries. A fine flavor but not anything special. OK beer - but my exspectation was higher. omhper (10438), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 3, 2003 Sampled draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, Sweden.
Dark reddish brown. Big cherry aroma. Sweet, yet acidic and very vinuous. Medium bodied, with a slight note of oak. the finish is an orgie in berry flavour; raspberries, cherries, blueberries, you name it... Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 24, 2005 (Bottle 25 cl) I was expecting a reddish brown beer with a sharp acidic touch. But what found was rather full-bodied, sweetish and malty - almost like Danish "hvidtøl". And although I do detect some slightly tart notes, they’re far from aggressive. A very mellow, pleasant sour ale. 080195 Oakes (6853), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Mar 21, 2004 Medium reddish-brown. Slighty cherryish aroma. Sweet & sour taste. Mostly sweet, sugary. Quick finish. Obviously designed as a refresher, rather than a more ponderous rendition of the style(ie. Rodenbach Grand Cru) yespr (6259), Copenhagen O, Denmark Nov 20, 2007 25 cL bottle. Pours deep brown/amber with a dense light brown head. Mellow caramel malty and slight fruity. Flavour is slight sour and sweet malty. Seems a bit out of balance. Ends mixed sweet and sour, but only mildly sour. Nice though.
