Once you start trying all the different BC microbrews they start to blend together.... the amber colour of this one is okay, nice head, decent look to it but it’s not noteable. Aroma is a sweet and sour funkiness with a hint of syrup. Taste is kind of blasée with some barley and malts. Mouthfeel is flat - very low carbonation. Did I get a bad batch? Overall nothing great here.

Pours clear copper with a thin white head. Nice aroma very sweet and malty. Good mouth feel and nice flavour. Palate is dominated by roasted malt and wet grass. Great as doller a can beers go.

Creamy? Yes, but like almost everything edible or drinkable in to society today, completely over-the-top with sugar. Nothing Irish about this at all.

Smells of caramel, and cream. Body is a red/amber colour. The head is a full and frothy and thick.

Plenty of caramel and toffee in the sweet nose. Thick, foamy, fine bubbled, off white head reduces rapidly to cover. Flavour is somewhat grainy once the caramel sweetness subsides. Mild bitterness keeps it from cloying. Light body with sharp carbonation and rather watery texture. Mouth-puckering. Tulip glass. Just above fridge temperature. Can (BCLS at Hellsgate, Dec-07).

Can, Deep amber brown, decent dense white head with moderate retention and leaving a little lace. Caramel and brown sugar aroma, faintly metallic. Same palate profile with medium sweetness and no bitterness at all. Reminds me of a Caffrey’s without the nitro.

355ml can. Amber colour. Thin off white head with little staying power. Reduces to a thin surface layer. Nose is sweet with honey and toffee. Flavour is lightly nutty, sweet malt. Some caramel in the aftertaste, also a little bit of grassy hop bordering on metallic. Light, thin body with light carbonation. My first Mild.
