Poured out a decent bright white cap with excellent retension and tons of lacing. I dumped it into an old tall mug and it seems to me that this glass keeps the brew bubbling non stop - I’ve noticed this before. Well, tough shit. In this glass, this is one good looking beer and I’m not getting another Special 7. Solid gold brew. The aroma is a soft sweetness with apples, weak barley malt and maybe a faint chemical smell...maybe. Normally with a budget beer I would not say that I want more aroma as usually it’s the opposite way around here. This stuff gets the job done when ice cold but it doesn’t take long for the crappiness to come out. Boring, plain and watered down with a unappealing bitterness. A touch sour and chemicals. Man, this stuff is still really cold and it just smashed itself into a wall - there is no way I let this warm up. Lots of bitterness. Mouthfeel is fairly smooth. Light bodied. Some of the aftertaste must be comming from the alcohol. Doesn’t mask the plastic bitterness at all. Thank God it’s so watery cause any ammount of flavour might cause my stomach to implode. Long lasting bitterness.

C’est difficile de faire pire coté gout. Son arome rapelle l’eau de la vaiselle. La finale avec extra alchol en arriere gout.

355ml can. Pours yellow/gold. Head is white but does not last. Sweet nose, corny malt. Flavour is grainy, corny sweetness, finishes with a bit of alcohol. Grainy, dry aftertaste. Medium body, prickly carbonation. Not that offensive, but hadrly recommended.

Light golden colour with little head. Aroma is like a damp wet towel with grass... lots of wet grass. Flavour is weak malty grainy beer. High in carbonation.

Bottle- Very pale yellow with a short lived diminishing white head. Corn and fusel aroma, wet paper, grains, and some sugar.Pretty sweet in the mouth, corn, and other grains. Sweet finish, quite prickly with the carbonation. Ok. Picked up in Gatineau on Jan 5th at a variety store.

Bottle (341ml). Bright light gold with a decent fizzy-frothy white head, some bubbling action - 2+. Fusel and corn aroma, dry and harsh - yup, malt likker alright. Tastes corny and grainy but light and the finish isn’t all that ugly, and at least it’s quick - not good but you could choke one down if you had too ... cold, of course. Very watery body, sharply carbonated, although it diminishes quickly after the pour, sort of hushpuppy aftertaste if you let it warm up at all. What you’d expect, maybe a hair or two better.
