presario (2953), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Oct 15, 2009 Canada’s own (well actually Wisconsin’s) Duff Brewery. Single can purchase. Gold liquid with steady carbonation that cannot maintain more than a minimal head around the edge. Sweet corn lager aroma. Gotta drink cold. Slightly chilled and it is a mix of grainy corn and fusels with the fusel notes getting stronger with each sip. Michaelg58 (1), Saskatchewan, Canada does not count Aug 20, 2009 Comes nowhere close to Brewhouse Great West Lager from Saskatoon which sells for a buck a can at Superstore if you buy six cases. Its the most excellent beer and well loved in Alberta...six bucks cheaper than in Saskatchewan. Cirrhosis (610), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Aug 11, 2009 Hahahaahahah 38 pack for 24 bucks how can you go wrong?? And why a 38 pack???? Looks like crap beer from a can, what ells can be said really. Smells metallic, corny, and sweet with some rotten malts luckily it fairly mild. Buttery mixed with random chemical taste, lots of wet grassy tasting malts, mild amounts of fake tasting hops but overall it carbonated butter. What a crap beer, my soul weeps for the next unfortunate person who drinks one. beersteve (1), Alberta, Canada does not count May 3, 2009 I find myself continually comparing this beer to Canadian Lager, although Canadian has a more grainy taste and Boxer is more fruity and sweet.
None of the nasty typical cheap beer side effects.
When Canadian is around $2.00 a beer and Boxer can be found for less than $1.00 a can, well the choice is up to you.
The crown on the logo really bugs me and I had to research it to see where this beer comes from; As long as it’s not coming from England I guess I can still buy it. jason69 (24), Canada Oct 1, 2008 Decent tasting cheap beer. I am prolly one of the few that enjoy it. I need to pick up a few more cans. BoxerBoy (1), Calgary, Alberta, Canada does not count Sep 5, 2008 Boxer is my shit. I fuckin drink that morning noon and night. It works in your car and nothing picks up a lady like telling them you got twelve fresh boxers in your fridge. And if you spill boxer on your carpet you can’t get the smell out and its beautiful. Furthermore the maker of boxer lager is a former graduate of the fine institution that I currently attend making it an alumni beer to the University of Calgary. I am currently pursuing sponsorship by Boxer Lager to start a boxer lager team at the UofC. If it wasn’t for this DAMN GOOD BEER I would not have lost my virginity. pintbypint (1002), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Mar 25, 2008 710ml can. Light yellow with no remnants of head at all. Sweet, vegetal aroma. Sugary flavour with notes of grain and paper. Watery palate, fizzy. Cheaply made budget beer. I want my toonie back. DuffMan (2721), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada Jan 20, 2008 Available in supercans in Alberta, courtesy of Mountain Crest Importers. Another generic, below-average pale lager from this "craft brewer" who seems to have a toe in every provincial and state market in North America.
