Commercial Description:
April Monthly Special A pale gold beer with glorious bitter flavours and a fragrant hoppy aroma. An ale to celebrate everything great about the English pub. Hops: Fuggles, Goldings. Malts: English barley malt

Handpulled cask at the Angel, Henley on Thames. Gold with a thin white head. Hoppy but rather harsh tasting. Wychwood are spoiling Brakspear’s good name IMO.

Cask at the Angel, Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire, on the latest leg of the Thames Tipple 11-04-09 Pours more light amber than gold, although in the poor light of the pub it could have appeared darker, thin white bubly head. Bit tangy with some lasting bitterness, also a bit fruity and with some hops on the nose. Not the best from Brakspear I’m afraid. A6 A3 F5 P3 Ov10 2.7
