Nov 3, 2009 Bottle from Sainsburys. Pours amber with a white head which dissipates swiftly. Aromas of malts, tobacco, licorice, citrus. Flavours of caramel, malts, honey, citrus. Finishes quite hoppy. Very refreshing.

Oct 17, 2009 Delightful. Rich gold, large head, moderate lacing. Pretty much how I think an English bitter should look. Sweet malts and floral notes in the nose. Matching taste, but surprisingly American orange citrus notes, as if there were hints of cascade in the hopping. Very pleasant ber.

Aug 12, 2009 Big but short foam that dies down too a thin lace. Lots of caramell aromas with some wood notes from the hops. Large bitterness with some malts. The bitternes lasts long time. OK bitter.

Aug 2, 2009 Nice malty aroma of hops, honey and apricot. Flavor of malt, hops, honey, apricot and a hint of metal. But it’s really nice. Very enjoyable.

Aug 1, 2009 Bottle from Sainsbury’s. Pours orange-gold with an initially thick 10mm head that gradually fades but leaves lacing. Very floral hoppy aroma with citrus notes and a touch of rich fruit. Tastes of rich fruits, orange, a touch of bubblegum (not in the unpleasant way) and a touch of honey sweetness. It has a nice, long bitter finish and a decent medium palate. I really enjoyed this well balanced bitter. Strangely for an English beer adding the yeast doensn’t detract from the flavour and adds a subtle yeast note.
