Bottle at the wombat. Very nice amber colouring. Aroma of sweets and fruits. The taste is also sweet and fruity with hints of alcohol. Liked it for half a glass, after that it became a struggle to finish my glass.

0.3 L bottle. A dense, fingerthick yellow tanned head over an orange to light brown colored body with good clarity. Sweet buttery malts and cream-caramel to the nose. Also a whiff of ripe apples and alcohol. Taste is medium to heavy sweet. Buttery malts again, backed by some mild bittering hops. A sour tone is noticable. Mid-bodied with an oily mouthfeel. Malty, light bitter-sweet ending. Goes well down, but does stand out in any way.

Bottle t.h.t. dec ’09. Dark amber, almost no head, very sparsely. Aroma of sweets, and fruits. tastes bitter from the alcohol (not the hops), some dark fruit, fizzling carbonation. Finish average.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a dark red wine-like colour with a medium off-white head and a sweet, fruity aroma with hints of prunes, caramel, rhum and molasses. The taste is bitter sweet, with both hops and notes of malts, alcohol, molasse, toffee, milk chocolate and dark fruits. The finish is both sticky sweet and mildly hoppy. pretty good

From tap at de Wildeman. Pours clear and deep amber, golden with a small off-white and creamy dense head. Breadish and slight diacetyl like aroma. Roasted malt flavour with a slight metallic touch. Mild diacetyl note here too. Ends slight metallic, malty and somewhat bitter. No sweetness left.
