michael-pollack (1394), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 12, 2008 Draught at Brewpub: Aroma of caramel and hops. Poured light amber with a hint of gold in color. Very lightly hazy. Not sparkling. Flavor is lightly bitter. Tastes of caramel, malts, and spicy hops. Light to medium body. Chalky texture. Average carbonation. Bitter finish. Surprisingly decent. Walt (2268), Chicago, Illinois, USA Mar 31, 2008 Pour is clearish orangey amber with a thin white head...smell is grapefruity, but not overwhelmingly so...taste is strongly soapy and bitter with a strong citric finish...seems a little off somehow and I don’t know how to explain.... thedm (3406), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Aug 2, 2007 This draft brew from the brew pub poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a transparent typically carbonated orange colored body. The mild aroma was hoppy. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish hoppy aftertaste. The mild flavor contained notes of hops and mild caramel. It needed more of the caramel flavor, but it was had the most character of any of their brews. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again. sersdf (861), chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 9, 2006 draft at barrington brewfest. pretty good american pale. could use some more hops. a little weaker than the emmetts victory i had next to it. beervana (782), Libertyville, Illinois, USA Feb 21, 2006 (02.18.06) Sampled at FebFest ’06, Libertyville, IL. Clear copper hued ale having a small white head with good lacing. Soft carbonation. Hoppy, sweet malt aroma. Light-to-medium bodied ale that starts with light malt sweetness and notable hop flavoring. Finishes dry with light hop bitterness. A very good refreshing pale ale that goes well with food. Brewmaster Anthony Carollo gave me a growler of this pale ale to enjoy at home. Thanks Anthony!
