Bottle, from Rahman. Pours a dirty apricot, with a fast-dissipating head. Nice aroma of fruity hops, some cane sugar, and orange marmalade. Flavor is mildly citrusy, with nice touches of biscuit, and malt. Mouthfeel is sticky, but dry. I found the palate to be a bit thin as well, a trend I find for this brewery. Finish is pleasantly dry, bitter, and malty at the same time. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this. A good example of the style, in my book.

12oz bottle purchased for $1.99, likely from Marche Joanette in Montreal (or Verdun, whatever). Pours a clear medium copper with lots of head. Lacing is nice. Aroma is not. Really no hops in the nose to speak of. First taste is passable. It does have some hops, but they don’t taste particularly English.

A flowery hop nose flys over a veil of white foam, Beneath it, a pale amber body. Not much bitterness for a bitter yet tasty A touch of cake (maybe chocolate) comes in the end.
