after4ever (1925), Brier, Washington, USA Aug 27, 2008 12-0z. Thanks, Glouglouburp! Hazy dark caramel with bright amber highlights. Light creamy tan rim. Big woody and dark milk chocolate nose. Mild, almost watery body with wood, chocolate, and some brown sugary roast. Long woody finish. This is a wonderful and delicate old ale that’s beautifull harmonious, if seemingly lacking in power and body for the flavor profile it carries--it’s a mistake to think that’s an error on the brewer’s part, though. It’s a lovely delicate little beer with a very ambitious swirl of flavors that come off beautifully. Sammy (3240), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 23, 2008 Pours darkish with a moderate head. An easy drinking old ale, not too complex for the style but enjoyable nevertheless. Malty more than anything.Above average mouthfeel. LadySusan (382), Ste-Therese, Quebec, Canada Aug 9, 2008 341ml. bottle bought at Dépanneur A Tout Prix. The color is a dark copper with a beige head. The taste is of fruits and toffee with malt and a bitter finish. Snoro (186), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jul 31, 2008 Belle apparence, belle couleur rougatre, senteur agréagble, belle broue, goût léger. marcbé (79), Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada Feb 20, 2008 Clear brown body with red hints, almost no head.
