Bottle courtesy of tytoanderso. Pours a hazy gold with a white head. Smells of pilsner malt. Tastes citrussy with a watery finish.

12 ounce bottle from Cellars Wine and Spirits on Larpenteur, Roseville MN (June 2007, served a bit above fridge temperature from a Christoffel glass. Color is a little odd -- sort of a muddy gray/brown tinge to the light golden body; but the snow-white head is puffy and large and laces a bit as it recedes....massive amounts of honey in the aroma, smells like graham crackers in fact with light breadiness, grassy/floral hops are hard to distinguish in the sugary haze.....body too is just extraordinarily sweet, honey and Kayro syrup, a bit of molasses....really not at all what I want in a pils, this offers barely any hop character, minimal pale malt, seems caramelized even; as it warms up a vegetal/DMS component seems to show up and all is basically lost. Perhaps I got a bad bottle? It doesn’t seem to have been around long enough to have gone bad yet, but this one here’s a drain pour for me after less than 1/4 of the bottle.

Received 12-oz sample bottle to try from distributor. Another cool ACL printed bottle. I was expecting a golden pale golden yellow but this pils pours a clear caramel brown with a good lasting off white head. Aroma has scents of corn, some citrus, caramel, and some flowery hops. Taste is medium body, slightly bitter and a touch of metalic. Finish is a nice flowery hoppy bite and a bit dry. Pretty darn good though I would consider this more of an ESB than a pilsner.

Bottled, thanks to Skyview! Poured an almost clear medium golden with a short cap of white head.. some darker sediment settled to the bottom. The aroma threw me off with a heavy toasted grain presence.. darker caramel, honey, and molasses (for no good reason) really bump up the sweetness.. bizarre all around, and stayed far from enticing. Sweet honey and graham cracker sweetness at the flavor core with mild floral bitter accents.. leaving an odd sweet stickiness at the finish.. whatever they were shooting for here, it’s not very good. Rather thick on the palate with residual sticky sweetness in all the wrong places.. no real redeeming qualities to this one.

Gold color with a medium head. Slight grainy aroma. The taste is like very coarsely grainy bread. Lemony finish.

In the bottle from HyVee CB. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a thin white head. This has a very unusual aroma for a pilsner. It smells like a pale ale. Lots of hops- perfume and floral. The flavor is very hard to imagine as a pilsner. Instead, it is very malty with a candy-like sweetness. Finishes with a big hop boiling bitterness.

Isn’t this a Bohemian pils? Anyway, its an OK beer. Some corn and light hop aroma. I do pick up some style-appropriate Saaz hops in the flavor. Clean, gold color and substantial white head.
