I hope this was just a bad bottle but it smelled very skunky and the taste was very sour.

Bottle courtesy of tytoanderso. Pours a hazy gold with a white head. Smells of pilsner malt. Tastes citrussy with a watery finish.

So I originally had this at a tasting at ironically, a wine specialty store. A few sips and I actually thought this was good. Boy, was I wrong based on first impressions. The flavor is basically rotten corn. I don’t know how else to describe it. Unfortunately, I purchased a six pack of this and wished I would have went with the scotch ale instead. The best thing about the purchase is that a pct. of the money went to support cystic fibrosis. This was plain nasty and I’m going to try and pawn of the rest of my six pack. Maybe somebody will like it. Easily the worst Brau Broths offering I’ve sampled.

I only rated this beer a 2.2 because it was what the average was. I think this beer was a bit skunky smelling even though the date on the bottle was not expired. Flavor was still a bit spicey and slightly hoppy but dang, it was not so good. The dates on the bottles must not be correct. Make sure you buy it at least 6 months beore the date on the bottle.
