12 oz bottle. Pours a nice thick dark black color. Light is only visible at the sides of the glass. It has a nice frothy tan head that likes to hang around for the ride. Aroma is of chocolate and coffee mixed with a hint of cola and milk. Smells very tasty. Lots of chocolate flavors. Obviously very malty. The taste trails off a bit a the end and finishes with that coffee flavor that comes through in the aroma. Easy to drink, with a creamy mouthfeel. Not bad at all.

Pours a nice dark black with medium tan head. Aroma is strong coffee, dusty chocolate and licorice. Slightly smokey burnt malt underneath. Flavour is again coffee and burnt malt with some licorice cut with an astringent bitterness that is almost overwhelming at first but softens as you drink. Can’t quite get my head around this. One sip I’m cringing and the next sip I’m mulling it over...

12-oz. Thanks, Dodd! This is a very drinkable little stout. Pours black with a towering, surging, foamy tan head. Plenty of stringy lace showing. Nice-enough cola and liquorice nose. Rich creamy body. Plenty of sharp, stingingly lively carb. Chocolate, charcoal, liquorice on the mid-palate. Mild sweet finish. Not bad. Not much personality, but not too shabby.

Nice creamy head at poor. Aroma is nice! Creamy vanilla coffee. Head disapates after about a minute to leave a very nice veneer of foam over the top of the beer. Color is black, way black. Sweet malt taste, followed by roasted coffee. Weird acid tang for just a second before the bitterness touches you slightly. Leaves you with a slightly dry mouth. Very good cream stout. For 4.95 a sixer i had to give it a try. I think Degarth got a bad batch. This isn’t the best, but it ain’t to damn bad either. Went good with a peanut butter sandwich.

Courtesy of Degarth. Pours dark dark brown with tan head. The aroma is a bit on the mild side with sweet and roasty malts, mild licorice and a bit of burn malts. The taste is all roasty maltiness mixed with mild malts sweetness. Those notes are balanced by sourness and malt astringency and not much else.

Appearance: Pours a dark brown body with a creamy, off-white head. Smell: Dark malt aroma sullied by an odd, sharp, lactic fruit scent. What now? Taste: Dark malts with a bit of chocolate. More of that lactic sourness present in the aroma. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Ugh. Frankly, it’s pretty flawed.

Dark brown, bordering on black pour...creamy tan head...average retention...some drip lacing...nose of artificial vanilla...sour mash...chocolate...some roast...could be infected...flavor is sour as well, just seems a bit off, don’t know if this is the way it is or a bad bottle...medium bodied...average carbonation...finish is sour as well, medium length, with some chocolate and malt notes...would like a re-rate.

Bottle thanks to skyview. Dark brown with a nice brown head. Nose of an au sec coffee reduction. Flavor is tangy with chocolate and coffee. Body is medium with a lot of carbination. Almost soda style.
