Commercial Description:
Once valued for their perceived health benefits, cream stouts are now recognized for their malt sweetness and full body. This complex ale is packed full of coffee and chocolate notes.

[Bottle, thanks Philsner] Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malt and fairly strongly of coffee. Flavor is a little strange up front--unusual and I can’t figure out what it is-- however this quickly changes to coffee, which dominates the drink. Medium-thin body with a fairly long finish. Another beer that is drinkable, but just not very complex and overpowering with coffee.

Pours to a really deep brown body with a thin creamy light khaki head. Nice lacing. The aroma is extremely vibrant with dark chocolate covered espresso beans. The flavor is tart coffee and chocolate malt with sour lactic acid. The sour acidic palate doesn’t fit well. The beer is simply flawed as this is not that old.

Dark black body with a large rocky tan head. Roasted malt and chocolate aroma. Sweet smoke and chocolate flavor with a roasted malt and caramel background, fades into a burnt malt ending.

Parting gift from RBSG 2007 - Black, thin tan creamy head. Nose held soft notes of roasted coffee and cream, with underlying charred chocoalte and toffee brittle tones. Well rounded roasted milk chocolate, coffee and cream flavors throughout, and just a touch of hops in the finish. Light to medium bodied and smooth, drying, bittersweet finish. Not bad at all for sessions. Thanks Joe?

Received 12-oz sample bottle to try from distributor. Another nice looking ACL printed bottle. Pours an opaque very dark brown brew with a creamy thick off white head. Nice lacing on the disolve. Aroma has character of dark chocolate, coffee, and some spicey herbs. Taste is smooth, tasted/burnt malt, some coffee and spice. Finish is a little metalic and thin. The "Cream" Stout may come from the creamy head, the finish is a little thin to most other sweet stouts I’ve tried.

Bottle. Pours dark brown (almost black) with amber highlights. Beautiful off-white creamy head. Aromas of dry chocolate, coffee, toffee and hints of spice (clove?). Pleasant aroma. Minimal carbonation. Dry on the palate. Creamy. Notes of coffee. Slightly earthy. Finishes creamy.
