Pours dark like worn oil. Small tan head. Coffee and chocolate aroma. Roasted malt, chocolate flavor with a little bitterness to it. All in all a damn nice brew.

Thanks to Bob for the bottle! Poured medium-deep brown with a thick cap of tan head. The aroma picked up sweet, milky chocolates and vanilla with a decidedly cake and brownie feel to it.. sweet and succulent. The flavor found semi-sweet chocolate and black patent maltage at the core.. sharp earthy and bitter coffee notes surrounded.. rather ugly malts and the aforementioned bitterness on the finish. Well-carbonated on the palate, which probably contributed to the sharpness.. beyond that, it had a smooth enough feel. This started out good and ended up meh.

Very dark brown head. Tan head. Aroma is chocolate and lots of roasted malt. Flavor has lots of lactose, roasted malt, nuts and some chocolate.

Pours a dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma and taste is of chocolate and coffee. Medium to heavy body yet lightly carbonated with an overly bitter finish. Decent cream stout but overly bitter to truly enjoy.

BOTTLE: Dark brown pour, thick tan head. Heavy coffee on the nose, medium bodied, taste is kind of artificial (mainly coffee, milk), okay, but just not a great beer.

Pours dark brown with a tan head. Smells of sweet malt, caramel, chocolate, some peppery hints. Taste yields an astringent bitterness that gets in the way along with some rubbery hints. Nose is much better than the flavor.

Had at a tasting at a Hy Vee Wine & Spirits. Nice mouthfeel, but off aromas like spoiled milk, and a weak flavor finished with coffee.
