Brau did not have a doppel at Winterfest. Perhaps the previous entry was thinking of the Schell’s doppel which was served right next door to the Brau table.

Winterfest 2007. This comes from a little unknown brewery in SW Minnesota. I didn’t even think about stopping by their booth until a friend told me to try their doppelbock, which they were serving from a growler. All I can say is WOW! This is very impressive. Caramel/chocolate malts, vanilla, it’s all there. I really need to get my hands on this as the flavors just explode onto the tongue, especially for a 7% ABV beer. mcbeer, thanks for the advice.
