Commercial Description:
Frame Straightener is the follow-up to our initial release in the Single Batch series of beers. A traditional take on a classic style, 100% of the malt bill is Belgian in origin. This pale ale is infused with just enough French Strisselspalt hops. Easily a session ale, it begins with malt and plum; earthy and complex. It finishes with a hint of clove and fennel, keeping a peasant bread characteristic throughout.

A bit on the sour side. Yellowish, cloudy color. Some fruity notes in the aroma and the flavor. Rather thin in the palate. This is one of the Brau Bros better offerings.

Bottle, Thanks to Bu11zeye. Pours a hazy dark amber with off-white head with ok retentin. Aroma of dark fruit, slight roasted malt, a little spice. Flavor is very different from aroma, almost opposite.....Flavor has some nice fruity notes with faint tang, somewhat light on the body, med-high carbonation. Overall, not a bad beer.....easy drinker

12 oz. bottle via trade with tytoanderso - Pours a hazy amber color with a thin off white head that faded pretty quick. Faint spotty lacing. Aroma is mainly butterscotch. Diacetyl? Flavor is the same thing with a spicey kick and apple. Watery. I think this bottle went South. If not, it’s a pretty crappy Belgian ale. Looks like it’s going down the drain. Thanks Tyler for the opportunity to try it.

Pours a clear amber with very little head that quickly dissipates to nothing. Aroma is of caramel and hayish malts. First sip has the typical Belgian notes but a strange hay-like aftertaste. Flavor continues its earthy tones with watered down spice present. The body is incredible thin.

Bottle. Hmm. First thought upon purchasing this beer was that it must be something heavy, since it’s a limited edition. And it’s called "frame straightener". It just sounds heavy. So I was off a bit. Transparent amber color, small head that dissipates rapidly. First sip brings that definite Belgian malt profile. Flavor is a bit earthy, with a hint of spice toward the end. Ends with a semi-sweet bread like note. Thin bodied. As previous raters have stated, this really isn’t bad, it just needs a little bit of something extra. If the qualities of this beer were a volume knob, the body would be a 3 and the flavor would be a 4. If it were turned up to about a 7 and an 8, respectively, then we would be on to something. I give a cheers to these guys, though, trying to get something new going out in the sticks of MN.
