Commercial Description:
Frame Straightener is the follow-up to our initial release in the Single Batch series of beers. A traditional take on a classic style, 100% of the malt bill is Belgian in origin. This pale ale is infused with just enough French Strisselspalt hops. Easily a session ale, it begins with malt and plum; earthy and complex. It finishes with a hint of clove and fennel, keeping a peasant bread characteristic throughout.

Deep copper body with a lot of fast moving bubbles. There is a decent medium khaki head on top. The aroma has some rich bread and amaretto. There is a little hint of dried cherries and cinnamon. The taste has some rich, slightly burnt bread crust with some figs. The finish is stewed black tea. This is ok, but I would prefer some more sweetness.

Copper color with a medium head. Aroma is a little like cotton candy. Interesting flavor of sourdough. Very yeasty and earthy. Not bitter at all.

on the label: "A level and plum Belgian-style ale." Don’t get it. Apparently, the name comes from one of Lucan’s most popular exports...frame straighteners, I’d guess? Poured into a Delirium Tremens tulip. Dark reddish hue, under a small white ring of foam, soon gone. Sweet aromatics, yep, plums primarily, plenty of dark fruits, berries, ripeness, plump and bright. Yeast and malt singing away. Nice. Taste: sweet, then tart for a second. Dark fruits maintain dominance in flavor, it’s tasty, but bodiless, and drifts away too quickly. Good drinkability, but loses points for seeming watery and thin. I think they’re on to something, but it needs some work, something to give it depth and make it memorable. It’s good, but just evaporates from mouth and memory much too quickly.

A bit on the sour side. Yellowish, cloudy color. Some fruity notes in the aroma and the flavor. Rather thin in the palate. This is one of the Brau Bros better offerings.

Bottle, Thanks to Bu11zeye. Pours a hazy dark amber with off-white head with ok retentin. Aroma of dark fruit, slight roasted malt, a little spice. Flavor is very different from aroma, almost opposite.....Flavor has some nice fruity notes with faint tang, somewhat light on the body, med-high carbonation. Overall, not a bad beer.....easy drinker

Pours a fairly clear reddish amber with an off white head. Light aroma of banana, yeast, clove, something I’m not too fond of as well. Decent flavor slightly thin body. Disappointing.

Light hops and grain on the aroma. Orange copper color that’s crips and clear with high carbonation. Light bready body with some faint yeast on the finish. A little chemical hint on the finish. Thanks to Joebrew for the bottle!
