(on tap) Pours a copper color with a medium white head. Aroma is mostly grapefruit peel, with a little bit of floral hops in there as well. Flavor had a grainy character, followed up by a fairly nice hoppy finish (somewhat of a bitter grapefruit bite). A decent beer.

[On tap] Poured golden with a small white head. Aroma was very weak...but I can’t completely knock it because there was some smoke in the bar. I was very pleasantly surprised with the taste--largely of hops, I got piney at first, but there was also grapefruit. The bitterness associated with the hops lasted quite nicely. Maybe it is because this was on tap, but I thought it was pretty decent, definitely better than the current rating it has anyways.

Bottle thanks to Skyview! Poured a clear, bright orange-tinted golden with a rather well-retained cap of off-white head. Aroma picked up dusty bread and detergent notes at first.. not so much what I was looking for.. with only slightly-redeeming caramel and leafy hops coming through. Flavor began with a sticky vegetal bitterness that I could have done with out.. backed by darker caramel and grainy sweetness at the core.. pine and citrus hoppage was OK at best.. long, ugly finish taking me back to the beginning. This had a spritzy bitter/alcohol? bite throughout with a grainy middle.. got caught up at a few points, dragging ugly vegetal notes slowly across the palate. Not good.

Amber Color with White Skin. Subtle Citrus, Mildly Astingent Aroma. Light Bodied..Bittersweet but Quite Tangy..Musty Barn Grains and Citrusy Hops. Overall a Grainy Bitterness Dominated the Palate..Which Unfortuneatly Makes it Hard to Quaff.

Clear and golden-toned, but aslimmish bone white, perfunctory head. S’okay. Lemon peel and orange rind in the aroma, but a bit of apricot pith. Hops are buzzing, that’s for sure. Bittersweet, with a twist of sour in there. All that again lands on the tongue, and fades a little too fast. Lightish body, with consistent hop presence on the palate...for a while, before it vanishes. A pity, i would’ve it liked to hang around. But that makes this all the more user-friendly, shall we say, easy to toss back without trouble. Nothing wrong with that. In a town of 220, how many die-hard, palate-busting, hop-fanatics can there be? Gets a touch soapy in the finish. Alas. Not bad, but wish it were better.

Clear golden amber body with a frothy off-white head. Buttery caramel and citrus hops aroma. Buttery caramel flavor with some grain in the background.

Dark gold pour with little to no head. Citrus sweet nose. Flavor is fermented pineapple, very sweet. Hops are there, yet a little out of wack. A slight roasted malt comes in the middle then its off to a bitter finish. Thanks to skyview for the pour!

Parting gift from RBSG 2007 - Chill hazed amber, creamy white head. Subdued juicy citrus and pineapple aroma that fades into hints of florals, and malty caramel biscuits. Nice up front bitterness that blends soft notes of earth, citrus, and tropical fruit.. Warms and balances into pale caramel malt tones. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry, lightly bitter finish. Maybe my bottle was very fresh? I had no problem with it at all. Thanks Joe!
