Commercial Description:
A very unique buckwheat honey rye ale. A single batch of this beer was brewed for hot summer days around Lucan. Buckwheat honey from South Dakota meets locally grown rye for a very original flavor. Very earthy and a bit dry.

On cask drawn during the Autumn Brew Review 2009 in Minneapolis, MN. Pours a semi-hazy golden yellow colored brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates to a thin ring. Aroma of golden grain malt, a hint of rye, honey and a touch of spice. Flavor is light to medium bodied, smooth with flavors of light honey, golden grain malt, and a distinct flavor that reminded me of a mexican taco shell. Finish is semi-dry with a nice balance of malt and flowery hop aftertaste.
