Bottle from Tytoanderso - Thanks! Beautiful chestnut brown pour with a finger of creamy tan head. Nose is sweet, malty and nutty. Flavor is earthy and nutty. Plenty of malts, hints of chocolate and light bitters. True to the description, a little twinge of raspberry is detectable right before the bitters in the trailer. Nice suprise from a small MN brewery!

A brown appearance of course. Some nutmeg, chocolate, and toffee in the aroma. The flavor is somewhat sweet and contains chocolate, nutmeg, and toffee. Overall I thought this was a nice brown ale.

Pours a dark mahogany with some ruby tones. Quickly disappearing head. Nose- expected brown malt smell along with a raspberry concentrate smell. Taste- biscuity malts and ripe raspberries. Finishes too quick- not much complexity on the back end. Light hopping. Good cabonation. Beer is somewhat sour as you get into it.Decent effort.

Pours a transparent copper mahogany with a thin-lacing light tan head. Aroma of sweet dark caramel malt and some nutty notes. Body starts lightly sweet with some chewy caramel malts and a touch of lightly toasted malts toward a drier finish. A pretty decent brown ale.

Bottled sample via oakbluff. Brown-red in colour with medium (albeit somewhat spritzy) carbonation. Aromas of vanilla fudge, a bit of strawberry and raspberry, and some toasted malt. A bit fruit forward in the mouth (raspberry again) with more mild chocolate, toasted nuts, and a bit of earthy British hop. More sweet than roasty. Would be fairly heavy in the mouth if not for the carbonation tingle. A bit too fruity for me, but still fairly nice.

Poured from a 12oz bottle(thanks Tyler!) and served in a Bell’s dimpled mug. This beer poured a semi-translucent brown color with a lasting tan head. A small amount of slippery lacing was left around the glass. The aroma of the beer was made up of caramel, nuts, and biscuit. The flavor was nice and malty with notes of caramel, chocolate, nuts, along with a mildly spicy noble hop finish. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and smooth with light carbonation. A very nice example of the style. I wish I could get my hands on more of this!
