Bottle pours a brown amber with surface haze. The aroma is of malt and some yeast. The flavor is quite malty, sweet, and peaty. The palate is fairly rich, not bad. Not a bad effort.

Oct 28, 2008 color is brown amber, with lingering head. i don’t smell much but smoke. In fact, at first all i taste is something burnt and then a buttery after tast.

Oct 9, 2008 Bottle courtesy of tytoanderso. Pours brown with a rocky white head. Smells of caramel, some peat, light spice. Tastes sugary and spicy with some brown sugar on the finish.

Sep 28, 2008 ABR ’08 - Pours dark brown with a medium light tan head. The nose was strong in sweet butterscotch, notes of smoke which dissipated in minutes. Flavor was very butterscotch, very malty. It was decent; maybe a little sweet for my taste.

Jul 27, 2008 Pour was very dark golden/brown with a medium light tan head. Aroma was strong and sweet butterscotch with a hint of smoke which disappeared within 5 minutes. Flavor was very butterscotch and almost artificial. very malty with not enough hop balance. Decent but probably not worth a second buy.
