Bottle (purchased at the brasserie): Hazy, mid-sized yellowish head, solid dusty grainy nose with a taste of honey and curious hops in the wings; solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; lingering bitter-sweet-malty finish with a tinge of alcohol in the aftertaste. Decent franconian quality.........

(bottle) Hazy, orange-golden colour with a lacey blond foamy head of medium size. Slightly sweet and yeasty cara-malty, slightly bready nose with a fruity tinge and discreet spicy hops in the background. Moderately sweet flavour, almost full bodied with a soft carbonation and a chalky mouthfeel. Slightly yeasty and fruity, bready taste with light herbal notes; malt-accented, moderately sweet finish with a good dash of balancing hoppy bitterness. Pleasant.

Bottle. Pinkish golden color. 7,3% on the label. Malt, apricot and a touch of soap in the aroma. Fruity flavor (apricot) at first, but with a firm flowery and earthy hopbitterness powering through, that lingers on in the aftertaste. Characterfull hellerbock.

Tap, at the Brewpub. Jan 2005. Amber, moderate white head and low condition. Fruity roasted malt and raisins in the nose, full bodied and sweet in the mouth with a gentle roasted malt bitterness and noticable alcohol. Gentle fruity finish with a balancing hoppiness.
