pivnizub (4007), Porúří, Germany Mar 2, 2008 Bottle (purchased at the brewery): Golden coloured, mid-sized, slowly diminishing fluffy white head; robust "oaky" aromatic hoppy nose, almost a bit perfumed, backed by grainy aromas; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; short, light oaky-bitter finish, mixed with grainy aromas. A good brew........ MoritzF (4019), Ruhrpott, Germany Dec 27, 2007 (bottle) Clear, golden colour with a mid-sized foamy white head. Moderately sweet, grainy and slightly cara-malty nose with a tinge of citrus and light herbal hoppy notes. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Solid, slightly grainy malty base, shy fruity taste with a sweet-bitter slightly hoppy finish. Decent Export. rauchbier (2877), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England Dec 19, 2006 Bottle, from the brew pub, November 2006. Gold, moderate lasting white head and gentle condition. Good grainy malt with a touch of fruitiness and pleasant low hop resin notes in the nose, solid hoppiness in the mouth with a well balanced chalky maltiness, gentle fruity flowery hops in the finish with a lingering grain note at the end.
bierkoning (5077), La Tropica, Netherlands Jun 2, 2006 Bottle, bought at the brewery. malty soapy flavor, fairly low op hopbitterness, only comes up a bit in the aftertaste. Medium bodied. Average. Jukkabro (2463), Tampere, Finland Oct 18, 2005 Dark golden color, little white head. Fruity, mildly floral and buttery aroma. Medium bodied. Floral, fruity, mildly sweet start in flavor, ends with medium dryness. Soft mouthfeel. Not very characteristic, still good basic brew.
