jfb (129), Freising, Germany Sep 1, 2008 (bottle) clear amber colour, slightly tanned white head. sweet aroma of malts, caramel and oak, strikingly reminiscent of whisky. flavour has sweet, roasted pale malts, with notes of honey, caramel, hay, a light hint of whisky. low carbonation, strong body, roasted-bitter finish. a lovely bock! JensenTaster (1486), Denmark Jul 9, 2008 (on bottle) Very spritzy and one-lined bock. Clear, amber and a nice white head. Served cold, it would be a killer drink, but as it warms up, it get very woody and allmost calvados-like; strange, yet attractive.
