<i>courtesy of Laurent Mousson</i> - clear brown colour with a solid beige foam; some toasted malts and almonds in the nose, some wet corns too?!; low carbonation, slightly oily, quite sweet with a late but fair bitterness; long almondy and biscuity finish - very good except this little problem in the aroma

Apr 18, 2008 Bottle. Astringent dark chocolate malt aroma. Cloudy orange-brown color with small head. Chocolate and caramel malt flavor with moderate grassy hops flavor. Nice body. Very nice flavorful dunkel.

Apr 21, 2007 Big old German bottle. Dark, amber dolr. Large tanish head. Spicey aroma. Malty caramel flavor. Hints of toffee. Smooth drinking and well balanced. Hop flavor very appropriate, mildly spicy. Moderate to strong alcohol presence. Real good.

Feb 5, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Mahogany coloured. Malty aroma with some nutty notes. Sweet malty flavour with notes of caramel.
