Allen (700), Wölflinswil, Switzerland May 27, 2008 Bottled 33cl. It pours a hazy orange beer with a healthy whitish head. The nose is nicely hoppy with notes of lemon, crackers, nuts and grapefruit. Very pleasant. The taste is biscuity, hoppy with notes of grapefruit, crackers, pear, peach and apricot. Well balanced, yeasty and slightly sour with a nice hop character. Not much lace. Wonderful leafy hoppy finish with notes of nuts showing up. Very pleasant and refreshing. Quack-Duck (1973), Bodensee, Germany Jun 23, 2007 bottle, bought at the brewery. Golden yellow, cloudy, large head. Malty and grainy, fruity. Favours of banana and yeast. Quite hoppy aftertaste with hints of nuts. MoritzF (4019), Ruhrpott, Germany Apr 9, 2007 (bottle, with thanks to quack-duck!) Hazy, orange-golden colour with a medium-sized, slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet and slightly yeasty pale and cara-malty aroma with herbal, slightly grassy hops and a subtle fruity touch in the background. Sweet flavour, light bodied with a smooth carbonation. Yeasty, malty taste, slightly bready; slightly viscid, almost sticky, malt-accented and yeasty finish with a tinge of fruitiness (pears) and a very light bitter note. Has deficits in maturation and balance. fiulijn (6010), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Sep 17, 2004 Blond color; exaggerated head. The aroma is sweet, paperlike and sour. Light taste again spoiled by some sourness. Another bad fermentation! Bov (4735), Bienne, Switzerland Jul 18, 2004 hazy golden-orange colour with a fine creamy head, malty and hoppy nose, notes of hazelnut and apricot, sweet and slightly oily with a good malt body, the finish is long, creamy and malty with retronasal notes of fruity hoppiness - a good beer
