BMan1113VR (1150), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA Mar 14, 2008 Took me a while to find this listing. Bought in Paris. Listed as 8.0 Royal Club Strong beer Premium at 8% from distributor D.L.P., Z.I. de Gretz. Half liter can. Large white head that is somewhat creamy. Decent retention and light lacing. Clear deep yellow body. Some malts and grassy hops, corn and sugar, smells like a lot of Macros. Taste is nothing, then alcohol, then metal, then alcohol, then metal again. Surprisingly not that unrefined till the end. At first it tastes a bit like an ice bock, and then corny. Watery and and light bubbles. Overall not that bad. KariCupcake (215), Lenox, Massachusetts, USA May 22, 2005 Took a swig from my fiance’s can. Kind of on the heavy side, but it was good and I found it to be refreshing. ericnixon (712), Lenox, Massachusetts, USA May 16, 2005 Bought in Paris. I dunno what the color was since I drank it from the oversized can as God intended. Somewhat malty aroma. Clean, yet thick, refreshing taste. Surprisingly good. Nate (2291), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 21, 2003 Sweet aroma, some malt but more reminiscent of sugary, cooked corn. Metallic with very subtle hops. White, foamy lacing head atop medium golden clear liquid. Visible carb. Thick watery palate with sluggish carb. Taste is sweet with metallic, unpleasant bitter tones. Low hops and strong syrupy alcohol presence. Rough bitter after.
