Koelschtrinker (61), Köln (Cologne), Germany May 29, 2007 Eine gemütliche kleine Kneipe in Köln-Ehrenfeld braut in kleinstem Maße Bier.
MiP (6313), Flensburg, Germany Apr 27, 2008 Bottle, 4.8%. Slightly spicy aroma. The flavour is a little sour. Lemon flavour, I wonder if it intended. fonefan (5507), Ulfborg, Denmark Apr 3, 2008 Bottle swing top. Light unclear light to medium yellow color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, toasted, grain, malt sour, light to moderate yeasty, sour. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (040308) yespr (7782), Copenhagen O, Denmark Mar 20, 2008 50 cL bottle, trade with Koelschtrinker. Pours hazy yellow with a lacing white head. citrus fruity aroma. Flavour is bitter, citrc fruity and light wheaty. Ends with a lingering fruit flavour. shrubber85 (2598), COB Speicher, Iraq Mar 10, 2008 Bottle (courtesy of Koelschtrinker). Wheat/barley malt aroma with hint of lemon. Cloudy blonde color with moderate head. Sour lactic malt - rather bland. Extra points for being unfiltered - unfortunately doesn’t add much flavor. Rastacouere (5418), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jun 10, 2007 Hazy golden body topped by a white meringue that swiftly diminishes. Grain oriented nose, but also quite fruity, almost lactic, a bit like lemon sorbet. Surprisingly empty middle, but it comes back with more tartness towards the finish, rather hopless. Thin bodied, a bit sour, biting effervescence, not the cleanest Kölsch to be had, that’s for sure, but it comes across more complex, fruitier and quite flavourful, just not very balanced.
