Braustelle Schwarze Sieben

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Hazy dark brown with a lively and frothy shaving foam style beige head leaving some lacework. Very sour aroma. Medium body with a hint of roasted malts and then an extreme sourness. Another terribly infected bottle beer from Braustelle. Calls for a re-rate. They obviously have a bottling problem. 280408

Bottle. Huge creamy beige head that mostly lasted. Excellent lacework. Muddy mahogany color. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, fruit, chocolate. Over the palate sour malty notes. Light bodied with a lively carbonation. Moderated sour with light sweetness. Sour metallic finish. 5-4-3-1-4 19-04-2008

75 cL bottle, trade with Koelschtrinker. Pours dark brown with a huge brown head. Light acidic and orange fruity aroma. So far so good, mediocre aroma and a very nice looking pour...but: Flavour is solid acidic infected. Ends the same way. Absolutely undrinkable! I guess bottling at Braustelle isn’t that well functioning.

Bottle. [Courtesy of Koelschtrinker] Unclear medium brown black color with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, coffee, light to moderate hoppy, grass. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Very nice DB ;o)) (211207)

Milder Malzantrunk, röstig, aber mild. Darüber eine mittelstarke Hopfennote. Das Bier überrascht, denn es ist ziemlich mild. Außer dem weiter milder werdenden Malzton und dem gleichbleibenden starken Hopfen gibt es kaum Abwechslung, das Bier ist nicht übermäßig würzig, Fruchtaromen fehlen. Die auf der Flasche angesprochene Herbe ist im Nachgeschmack zu finden, aber auch diese ist nicht übermäßig stark, immerhin wird das Malz und auch der Hopfen für kurze Zeit deutlich stärker, der Malzton wird kaffeeartig, der Hopfen pusht zusätzlich. Nettes Bier, wenn auch etwas entäuschend. Den hohen Preis nur bedingt wert.
