Mar 22, 2006 (Bottled) Hazy darkish red color with a medium, tanned and foamy head. Malty, caramely, berryish aroma with some alcohol. Sweetish, raw-malty flavor with some berries and some alcohol. Medium to full-bodied, somewhat alcoholic palate with medium carbonation. A somewhat enjoyable, a bit raw, sweet and alcoholic brew.

Feb 20, 2005 Bottle conditioned, at Essen Kerstbierfestival 2004. Bronze, thin white head and moderate condition. Woody, malty and gentle oxidized in the nose, mainly malty with some faint caramel in the mouth and noticable alcohol kick in the finish.

Jul 29, 2004 Dark brown with large head. Malty-sweet, raisins, notes of maple syrup (yes, it’s sweet!?!), light acidity. Low carbonation in mine! IMO remniscent of Kasteel Donker.

Jun 29, 2004 Brown colour and low head. Sweet and slightly alcoholic nose. Malty start with a yeasty tone. Some sour middle combined with sugar and somewhat pumpkin. Nice sweet malty palate.
