Cloudy honey gold hue, with a thick white head, yeasty, sweet pale malt nose, with a subtle spicy coriander accent, a faint fruity orange note, with a mild honeyed aroma, follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, spritzy, fruity character, with a peachy, orange peel fruitiness, with a coriander spicy note, with some sweet honeyed pale malt accents, with a warmth mouthfeel, leading towards a fruity, warm, dry hop finish.

My Bottom Line:
Banana esters and vanilla ice cream flow through a grassy and citrusy hop cologne in this lively and creamy Tripel.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A rocky, mountainous head of foam laces all around the cloudy beige golden.
-Carbonation is fluffy and active, as one would expect from this Belgian style.
-The mouthfeel is reasonably full, yet the overall effect is quite drinkable.
-Alcohol is not a factor in the flavor profile.
-The wheel has not been reinvented here, it’s just been replicated flawlessly. This was a mighty tasty surprise!

App.: Clear golden, foamy white head. Aroma: Apples and pome fruits, yeast and dough, light coriander and spice, light caramel and sugar. Palate: Medium body and soft carbonation, lightly astringent. Flav.: Much like the nose, fruits, light spices, off-dry, alcohol is present in the finish.

Fair, but I’m no disciple of this apostle...

Brown bottle, 33 cl, bottled on 07/12/06, savoured on July 25 2007; eye: straw, clear, good effervescence that maintains a nice layer of white head on the beer, lots of lacing; nose: yeast, bread, citrus, slight presence of alcohol, spices, fruity; mouth: creamy, lots of yeast, bread, cookie, spices, a bit of malt, slight presence of hops, fruity, finale with a hint of alcohol, a bit thin, medium body, slightly sweet and bitter, good carbonation; overall: correct FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 33 cl, embouteillée le 07/12/06, savourée le 25 juillet 2007; œil : paille, claire, bonne effervescence qui maintient une bonne couche de mousse blanche sur la bière, beaucoup de dentelle; nez : levure, pain, citron, légère pointe d’alcool, épices; bouche : crémeuse, beaucoup de levure, pain, biscuit, des épices, un peu de malt, très léger houblon, finale avec une petite pointe d’alcool, un peu mince, corps moyen, très légèrement sucrée et amère, bonne carbonatation; en résumé : correct

Bottle: Poured a deep golden color ale with a huge pure white head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of Belgian malt with some light spices which may include white pepper. Taste is a well balance mix between some semi-sweet Belgian malt, spices and light yeasty finish. Body is quite full with some excellent carbonation and no alcohol was detected. Nothing earth shattering to be found here but very good in any case.

Bottle. Nice golden colourwith a big white foam on top leaving lacing. Sediments. Rye bread aroma with spices and caramel in exciting harmony. Flavours are mostly sweet with quite a bit of bready character. Spicy rye notes. Slightly light-bodied for the style, but warming alcohol. An extraordinary tripel in my opinion.

(Bottle 33 cl) Hazy, warm amber golden with tiny impurities. Huge, off-white head leaving laces. Sweetish, malty, fruity nose with a touch of yeast. Full-bodied, again with sweetish malt accents and overripe fruit. No bitterness. 160107

33 cl bottle, bottled in Feb 05. Hazy light amber. Sweet, caramel aroma with yeast and fruit (hint of overripe pears). Sweet caramel taste with light fruitiness and touches of alcohol and spices in the end. Full bodied. An extra point for reporting the bottling date.
