beerbuzzmontreal (2769), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jun 20, 2008 Dark brown pour with a ring of light brown froth. Mild aroma of peated malt and chocolate. Intereting flavor of peated malt and chocolate, the peat is mild though. The body is medium with a creamy texture and gentle carbonation. TaktikMTL (2042), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada May 22, 2008 En fût. (Rating #1705) MartinT (4458), Montreal, Quebec, Canada May 20, 2008 My Bottom Line:
Roasted dryness and bitterness tags along subtle smokiness in this svelte and unassuming Porter.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam protects the brown-sleeved black.
-The body is relatively lean and aims at high drinkability.
-The smokiness is well integrated, but not present enough for my tastes in the style.
-The finishing roasted malt bitterness dries up the back end, but reminds you there wasn’t much malty sweetness to begin with.
