Tap at brewpub- Deep amber with ruby hints- ok head. Butter bomb- with sharp and slick caramel and a big fruity ester. Flaovri scaramel, earth, dough, toffee, rope and more butter with high fruit esters. Meh.

20080729 Draft at brewpub. Rusty brown color with creamy beige head. Aroma is, uh oh, diacetyl. Okay, maybe it’s a bit appropriate for the style but this is over the top. Bad news on the first sip, it’s all diacetyl and the palate is slick. There are some slight earthy, woodsy, barky hints poking through but mostly...butter bomb. Bummer.
