Pours golden, thick white head, with lasting head.
Aroma, piney hops
Taste, superbly hoppy, pine, light fruits, with light bitter finish and a tad spices.
Love the use of hops in DIPA and the hops are there but just ruining the whole palate.
@ 9.4% this was easy to drink and amazingly tasty. steview (902), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 24, 2009 Updated: Apr 25, 2009definitely not what I would expect for an Imperial version of a Pale: cloudy gold-yellow body with average white head and little lacing; lots of floral, sweeter than expected, yeasty, ... the hops are really hiding in this one or really not there, along with the alcohol, but the alcohol is definitely there; good, but not great--maybe if it was re-branded into something else or at least more hop-centric? alexanderj (2280), Chino Hills, California, USA
