| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 28, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear dark copper color with a medium sized creamy beige head. The aroma is big on caramel malt, toasted grain, and some citrus/floral hops. The flavor is moderately sweet caramel malt, moderate bitterness, and a hint of citrus hops. Medium bodied. I’m not getting much in the way of alcohol with this. Not bad, but no raves either. hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 12, 2008 Bottle. Small tan head that mostly diminished, splotchy amounts of lacing, transparent, soft, slow rising carbonation, and a dark amber hue. The aroma was malty, caramel, hoppy, some dark fruit notes and bitter. The flavor was bitter, malty, caramel, and hoppy, Smooth mouthfeel and medium body. Quaffable, well balanced, would drink this one again and worthy of a try. drewbeerme (2299), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 28, 2008 12oz bottle. pours dark amber with small off white head. nose is biscuity with some caramel. overly sweet beer with sharp huskiness, toasted biscuit, some dark fruits, sharp alcohol and bitterness clashing all over the place. really sweet and off puting. watery body. this is pretty bad and stupid idea to try and imperialize a classic session ale. kwoeltje (1322), Manchester, Missouri, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 20, 2008 Updated: Nov 9, 2009(12 oz bottle) dark amber/light brown with very little head. Aroma of malt and dark fruit. Flavor is slightly sweet biscuit malt, dark fruits, damp earth, alcohol. Didn’t notice the hops really. Sort of what I’d imagine as a Belgian interpretation of an ESB. travita (1937), Frisco, Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 20, 2008 Amber colored with a ok head. Pleasant hoppy smell. Nice semi-bitter taste with refreshing hops. You can feel the alcohol also. My favorite from Breckenridge.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 12, 2008 Pours a clear very garnet hue. Nose is like alcohol notes and yeast. Flavor is bitter, but the alcohol takes over and wrestles control. Feel is sticky on the liquid and the carbonation is low. This is a mediocre ESB, IMO. Too hot from the alcohol and definitely not balanced. Nice to try. Moving on. SudsMcDuff (1695), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 10, 2008 an extra extra special bitter? i love esb’s but i wasn’t expecting much coming from this brewery, which frankly puts out some really low end stuff!...
pours a dark rust golden shimmer brown ...
lacing is quite outstanding. the aroma is very nice too. belgian malt, toffee, dark honey, chocolate.. very good in the nose
the mouthfeel is abit thin but for a 7.8 beer, i am happy, glides down the throat and leaves a good aftertaste!
a shock brew from this brewery that has never wow’ed me, well, this beer is a saving grace and honestly, a pure joy to drink!
