Commercial Description:
Extra, extra? You better believe it. We like to say it’s double extra special. The balance of malt and hops makes it truly one-of-a-kind. Warming malt notes at the onset with a hop kick in the back and opens up to a nice dry finish. Our small batch ESB is a big, strong traditional ale with characteristics that break tradition and a complexity that constantly surprises.

brrrrrtttttt. Not good. Since when are prunes and raisons are major component in an esb? Thanks to my buddy Scott though for hooking me up with this taste.

Some dusty caramel with mild green apple in the aroma. Auburn hued with a nice thick white head. Sticky caramel in flavor with a dollop of noble English hops and a twinge of alcohol. Interesting take - like a kicked up amber. Thanks Brad.

12 oz bottle pours reddish brown. Aroma is fruit and malt. Flavor is of malt and ripe fruit. There is not a whole lot of bitterness as would be expected from the ESB style.

Pours a beautiful red with a small, but respectable head, and some light lacing. Well balanced aroma of bitter hops, fruit and caramel. Flavor has some alcohol and is more malty and not as bitter as the style would call for. Finishes dry, but not overly. Full body mouth that finishes abruptly. Overall its a well balanced beer, but more reflective of a winter seasonal Strong or Brown Ale than an ESB. Good brew, worth trying.

Pours close to the color of a brown ale. Almost no head at all. Some sweet aroma. The flavor is similar to an old ale with a lot of hop bitterness. I do not like the hop variety used. Strange dirt character to it.

12oz bottle. Good sweet fruit arona on the nose. Red body with decent head. Good cherry fruit flavor and the medium bitter finsh was good for me. Sometimes this style is too over bitter with nothing else there but not this one. Godd brew.

12-oz bottle. Pours hazy brown with a spare, white, mostly diminishing head, fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, caramel, nutty), light hops (herbs), average yeast (dough) with notes of grape, port, and cola. Medium bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness.
