The aroma was sweet caramel. The flavor had a caramel base and a lot of hops. This one had some hop complexity with citrus, pine and simcoe all in there, I think. Really hoppy...did I mention that? | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 23, 2008 A pretty nice beer...nice grapefruit and ponderosa aroma coupled with tangerine body and 1/4 tightly packed eggshell head. Flavor is obvious citrus and pine with underlying grassy, earthy, iron-like quality. Overall a solid beer and one I’d be willing to repeat. ScotYankBard (16), USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 23, 2008 Weak aroma. Looks great. Wonderful flavor. Smooth and crisp. This is a good IPA, but it really lacks a great aroma. I would recomend this brew, but don’t get too excited, and, oh yeah, the 9.2% alcohol will getcha. Soonah (980), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 22, 2008 Poured a vibrant gold and light copper color with a nice, slightly off-white head that was slightly dense and created nice webs of lacing. The initial aroma was a blast of citrus followed by thick caramel malts. As it opened up the pine and floral hops really took over. The flavor was light caramel and citrus up front that was walloped by super bitter pine hoppiness. Good mouthfeel, quite drinkable and I didn’t notice that it was 9.2% abv until after the fact. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 20, 2008 Clear amber- yellow color with a nice looking off white head.
Good smell of floral hops.
Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.
Taste starts with a nice malty sweetness which quickly succumbs to a medium hop and alcohol bitterness to finish.
Probably the best beer I’ve tried from Breckenridge. Oct 2006

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 19, 2008 Bottle pours amber color with a decent head and lots of lace. The aroma is of caramel malts and nice hops. The flavor is sweet malt with some decent hops to balance. The palate is rich yet cleansing. This is decent. I’d buy it again. brewandbbq (269), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 17, 2008 Pours orangy-gold, with a three inch head of white, dense foam.
Retention duration of approximately five minutes, leaving a plethora of ripped sheets of clingy suds.
Aromatics are pungent, tropical, and floral.
This bottle is screaming freshness.
Tangerines, melons, pears, mongo, pine resin, and a smidge of earth grassiness. Very nice.
The mouthfeel is crisp and snappy. Plenty of minerally liveliness.
Tropical fruits crushed through a pine sieve on the pallet. Stingingly hoppy, with a persistant, drying bitterness.
The malt is light, but balancing, and the beers is bone dry.
Finishes with an excedingly long bitterness, fresh citrus zest, and warming alcohol.
Wowza, great IIPA that apparently is a fresh and lively example.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 13, 2008 tap. average creamy off-white head into clear amber body with really good lacing present. aromas of light citrus hops and heavy caramel (maybe too heavy). flavor is sweet (a bit too sweet). moderate finish duration and dry texture. Okay IPA but as already noted a bit too sweet for me.
