Head is minimal. The taste is dominated by hops mostly bittering like a grapefruit, but without the balancing sweetness of other IIPAs. All in all a nice brew. Much more than I expected from Breckenridge. kyzr (1127), Belgrade, Montana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 20, 2008 Light amber pour with average off-whiet head. Good nose of citrus, with some sweetness to it. Flavor is big on hops, a lot of grapefruit almost blood orange bitterness to it. Then the balance of malt hits and cleans up to the nice bitter hoppy finish. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 18, 2008 Bottle. Pours a perfect amber color with a thin white head. Aroma was fantastic filled with hops and citrus fruits. The taste starts off with a sweet malt flavor that quickly fads into tart hoppy heaven. This is a wonderful imperial ipa with one drawback, it’s sticky. It’s none the less a beer that I enjoyed and one that I will have again. Speedle (262), Mid-Atlantic (Tour 2007-2008), Virginia, USA

Wonderful balance in this brew - not just adding hops for the sake of adding hops. Beautiful finish and an excellent brew. pepperford (115), robbinsdale, Minnesota, USA
