Commercial Description:
Hoppy? Brother, 471 redefines hoppy. 471 is a small batch, limited edition ale that was created by our Brewmaster to separate the weak from the strong. 471 is a double IPA, that combines Pale, Munich, Caramel-30, Carapils and Torrified Wheat malts, with Chinook, Centennial, Simcoe and Fuggles hops. It has a big sweet mouthfeel, followed by more hoppiness than you've ever had at one time. Enjoy. (Available at Breckenridge Pubs and Restaurants and bottled as 471 Small Batch Double Hopped IPA.)

Good value but overall not great. Alcohol is hidden well but left a metalic taste in my mouth. Thx frejaz

Pours a nice amber. Sweet and hoppy aroma. It is very strong and you can feel and taste that. Mostly earth and tree with a touch of malt. Overall I thought this lacked that extra kick but still not bad.

Nice to see American IPA with hop depth (not grapefruit rind). Oh, this is a IIPA? Maybe a little weak for that. Floral, spicy, orange hops. No depth, especially in bready malt. I guess it hid it’s alcohol well, I had no idea this was a IIPA. Very balanced for the style. Good, but not a huge fan.

Bottle from Beerman6686. Aroma of earthy, grassy, floral, herbal, and English hops. Sort of reminds me of a imperial pilsner. Pours a hazy orange with a soapy head and nice sticky lacing. Flavor is floral and grassy with a touch of aspirin. Malt backbone is a touch bready. It is by no means bad. It is very drinkable for being 9.2%, but something just does not work with this one.

Great tasting brew!! I wanted to try this because of the fact it’s a double IPA, and I was not disappointed. Pours good and brown with a very distinct hoppy taste. Gradually, the beer just seemed better as it was going down. I was very happy to "pop" the top off this frosty bottle.

This doesnt taste quite like a double IPA. But apparently it is. 9.2 alc and double hopped. Its well balanced which would usually be a good thing but when I go for an imperial IPA its because Im craving big time hops. But what the hell, how many imperials can you get for 2 bucks, not many. Good Value

this is an interesting double IPA. the nose is somewhat bland with scents of grass, baking bread, and a little hoppy sweetness. pours a nice, hazy orange with no head. flavor is lacking some of the hop punch you would expect from a double. i get more malt and a sourness along with an unexpected bite on the backend. not all that complex and leaves a bit to be desired. with some work, this could be a good one.

Slightly cloudy deep orange pour with decent head. Piney and floral aromas and tastes dominate. Not bad... smooth for 9.2%. Overall a little too bitter and soapy for me.
